Backend Architect (m/f/d) Python
Bonrepublic is an HR software platform that combines goals, recognition, development and incentives to motivate and retain employees. To drive our dream further, we are looking for support for our team of 25 employees in our Vienna office.

Your Mission
- You extend and maintain one of Bonrepublic's core products using Python, Django, and the Django REST framework
- You design, implement, and review code for an event-driven RESTful web service leveraging Celery, RabbitMQ, and Redis
- You support increasing test coverage by writing automated tests and working with PostgreSQL databases
- You improve code quality by proactively refactoring and utilizing Git and GitHub for version control
- You document your work using Open API and Swagger UI and actively communicate within the team
- You contribute to architectural decisions by proposing and reasoning about improvements, including deploying software containerized to a Kubernetes cluster on AWS using Docker
Your Profile
- You have a completed IT education (HTL, Uni, FH)
- You have 5+ years of experience in software development with Python, including Django (DRF) and Java
- You have experience in developing RESTful web services and integrating them with external systems using technologies like Celery, RabbitMQ, and Redis
- You are familiar with service-oriented architectures, such as microservices and working with PostgreSQL
- You have experience in a Scrum development team, ideally in an international, distributed organization, using Git and GitHub.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is highly valued.
- You are fluent in written and spoken English (German skills are appreciated but not required)

Actual salary
According to actual experience and in compliance with the Austrian IT-Kollektivvertrag 2025: between EUR 62.000 and 67.000 € annual gross, depending on qualifications and experience.
Individual experience and knowledge will be clearly honored in the real compensation package.
